The Yoga and Meditation Classes.
The yoga and meditation classes are specifically designed with the needs of the pregnant woman foremost in mind and the many changes that naturally occur during this time. The classes incorporate many aspects of traditional yoga and most importantly those that have proven to be the most beneficial physically, mentally and emotionally. No previous experience is required and unlike regular yoga it can be commenced as soon as you are ready and have the all clear from your doctor or midwife. The focus is very clearly on providing a supportive space for women to nourish themselves, to connect with their baby inutero and to prepare for birth with a sense of calmness, confidence and inner strength.

The Yoga Postures (asanas)
The yoga postures (asanas) recommended for pregnancy are very easy to do and gentle on the body and can be practised by most women - including women in their first trimester to those who are in the early moments of the birthing process. This form of yoga is quite different to regular yoga being less strenuous and is therefore a safe and effective way to maintain tone and flexibility during pregnancy, especially in preparation for birth. Most of the postures can be modified to suit the needs of all pregnant women thereby ensuring they can be practised in comfort and with confidence by everyone. The yoga exercises naturally improve strength and stamina and when done regularly help to maintain general well being and improved energy.
